Winning Entry

To help you with your submission, we have put together our top tips for you to maximise your chances of success. Think of your entry as your chance to tell the judges a compelling story about your achievements.

How does it feel to win? The Manufacturer MX Awards 2024

1. Read the criteria carefully, then read it again!

• The judges will be scoring you against the criteria and the criteria alone.
• Ensure you have thoroughly read and understood each statement and the corresponding maturity levels.

2. Make an early start and leave time for double-checking

• Start early and allow more time than you think you will need – trust us, it helps!
• Assign someone to manage the entry process and keep things on track.
• Ask a colleague or peer to review your entry – can they spot anything not clear or not fully evidenced?

3. Involve your team

• The criteria will cover various aspects of your business or processes.
• Involve those with relevant knowledge, especially anyone who will present to the judges or host the site visit.

4. Be honest

• The judges will be looking for genuine proof of maturity.
• Where you can’t score highly, the judges will provide their feedback and areas for development.

5. Can you prove it?

• Justify and quantify – include data and real-life examples to support your score.
• Keep your supporting evidence relevant to the criteria statements. (*Avoid unexplained abbreviations or acronyms)
• Scores can’t be validated with vague or general answers.

6. Wow the judges with your story

• Use the final statement to highlight what makes you stand out.
• Show the judges why they should visit your factory or hear you r story in person.
