HOW ARE THE AWARDS JUDGED?
There are two rounds to the judging process.
First Round
- Each entry will be assessed by a minimum of two, independent,
unconnected judges.
- The judges will evaluate your entry based on a review of the selected
maturity levels and an assessment of the supporting evidence text.
- Each judge will provide a score for the entry, with the total of these scores
determining the companies progressing to the second round of judging.
Second Round

(In-person Presentation and Q&A)
- Finalists will give the judges an in-person factory evidence tour of the nominated plant. They
will then take part in a Q&A with the judges.
- Finalists will be invited to attend Judging Day on Thursday 18
September to meet with the category judges. Finalists will present for 15
minutes using their preferred media (e.g. PowerPoint), followed by a 30
minute question and answer session.
After the second round of judging, each panel of category judges and assessors will discuss the results and select the winner of their category.

FAQs
A: Entries are open to all UK manufacturing companies, of any size and from any sector.
A: The deadline for completing entries online is Monday 30 June at 23:59.
A: Submitting an entry to The Manufacturer MX Awards costs £200 + VAT. This fee is refunded if your entry is not shortlisted.
A: Yes, of course. You can enter into as many categories as you feel are relevant to you and your business. Each category has its own judging criteria, so each of your entries should be tailored towards the criteria and category for which you are entering.
A: You will receive email acknowledgement to confirm your entry has been received successfully. This notification will be sent to the email address you supplied in the 'Company Details' section of your application.
A: Finalists will be announced on week commencing 11 August. Companies will be contacted regardless of whether they're a finalist or not.
